Embed a Power App on a SharePoint Page or Teams Channel
The library and county has developed several Power Apps for staff to use. One example is the Daily Health Check used during the COVID pandemic. These instructions will help you embed specific apps on a SharePoint page or a Teams Channel.
For information on how to install Power Apps on your phone or tablet please go here.

Embedding on a SharePoint Page
Please make your are able to edit the SharePoint page where you would like to embed the Power App.
Navigate to FCPL Power Apps page. There you will find a list of app you have access to under Your FCPL Apps and their IDs. Copy the ID of the app you with to embed.
Next, navigate to the SharePoint page where you want to embed the app. Select Edit from the top right.
Scroll to the section you want to add the app to, hover over that section to get the + to add a web part. Select it.
Search for Power Apps and then select the Power Apps web part.
This will add the web part to the screen and open an edit menu on the right of screen. In the edit menu paste the App ID in the App Web link or ID box. You might also want to turn on the Show border. This helps to make the app easier to see on the screen. Click the X to close the edit menu.
The app should appear on the page now. If everything looks good, select Republish in the top right.
NOTE: Printing from an app embedded in a SharePoint page is not possible at this time. Please see this Microsoft Documentation.
Embedding in a Teams Channel
Anyone who is part of a Team can add a Tab to a Channel. Go to Teams on your desktop or in the web. Select the Team and then Channel where you would like to embed the app. Then select the + in the tabs of the channel.
Select PowerApps
You should see a list of Apps that have been shared with you. Select the app you want and click Save.
The app should now load in the tab.

I've received a question about printing from the embedded app. PO's embedded it in both our Sharepoint page and our Teams channel. Staff can print the biweekly schedule using the print button embedded in the form in Teams but not in Sharepoint. Is that something we should be able to do/can be activated?by Rebecca LaPlante on Apr 06, 2022
