Practice in the Training environment of Polaris LEAP, the public catalog, and the desktop application (if authorized) to test out procedures and train on processes without impacting live customers.
Where do I practice?
Use this link to log into the Leap Training environment: https://fairfax-training.polarislibrary.com/LeapWebApp/
Use this link to use the training version of the public catalog: https://fairfax-training.polarislibrary.com/polaris/
For select users in TE and AD only: access the training version of the desktop client by selecting Start then Polaris ILS (Training)
Note: the data in the training environment is refreshed every other Monday, currently aligning with the first Monday of a pay period. Any test patrons or transactions will be cleared and data will be updated with a copy of the live data.
When you log into the training environment, you should see a warning stating that you are entering the training server. The top bar of the training environment is red instead of blue-green as well.
