DIT no longer gives out headsets for free. If your staff member does not have a County headset, supervisors will purchase one for them out of the branch or department supply budget. It is recommended to purchase these as needed, rather than having a stock in hand, as models can change.
The recommended model as of November 2024 is:
- County DIT has tested and supports the Jabra so if you order those there won't be any surprises. You can try ordering a different headset and it may or may not work, but DIT will not expend energy trying to make it work or installing any drivers, if needed. Most work so you're free to try what you wish, but the Jabra is recommended.
- If you already have a headset and are moving to a new branch, take your headset with you.
- Staff may keep their headphones after retiring or resigning.
