You will be notified via text/email/phone when your request status changes to Held in the library catalog. When viewing your holds list in your account, you can track the progress of your hold request in the Status field.

Active: Your request remains active in the holds queue until an item becomes available at any library branch.

Pending: Staff are locating the item and verifying it is available.

Shipped: An item has been located and been put in delivery to the pickup location.

Held: The item is ready on the shelves at the pickup location. Customers receive notifications via text, email or phone when the hold is ready, and have 7 days to pick up their item.

Cancelled: The hold was cancelled by a customer or staff member (upon request), or was not picked up from the hold shelf within 7 days. Cancelled holds remain on an account for 30 days. If a customer wishes to join the waiting list within this period, contact staff to reactivate the hold and the request will be reinserted in the holds queue based on the date the original request was made.

Inactive: This hold has been suspended. The request will continue to move up the holds queue while the hold is suspended.

Please call your local library branch if you would like to cancel holds in Held status or reactivate a Cancelled hold. Holds in any other statuses can be changed in the library catalog.
