Most items are received within 3-4 days, however, delivery times may be affected by several factors. There is no delivery between branches on weekends, holidays or when weather affects travel. Items listed as available in the catalog may not be found on the shelf or may be in unacceptable condition to provide for borrowing.
When a hold is placed, the system attaches the request to all copies of that title. When all copies are unavailable or checked out it will fill the hold with the first item to become available, regardless of where in the system it is returned. When copies are available the system will identify a branch to pull the item from the shelf. If that branch is not able to provide the item then it will be requested from the next branch, until filled. We generally pull items twice a day for delivery and are able to fill hold requests within 3-4 days.
