We have reciprocal arrangements with many nearby jurisdictions. A person is also eligible for a card if they work, attend school or own property in Fairfax County or the City of Fairfax.

Apply online for a virtual temporary library card. Complete the application process by visiting your local branch with a valid ID and proof of mailing address. Until then, your virtual temporary library card can be used to access many of the library's online resources.

A person who does not meet the eligibility requirements for a library card may apply for a  non-resident library card, which costs $27.00 per year and gives access to our library's online resources, including access to eBooks and eAudiobooks.
