Items can be sent to any Fairfax County Public Library branch by placing a hold online or by by calling any library branch for assistance.
- To place a hold online, locate an item in the catalog and select Place Hold.
- Select the desired Pickup Branch (for non-digital items) after logging into your account.
- Once a hold becomes available, you will receive notification by email, text or phone. You have 7 days to pick up your item(s).
- If you need more than 7 days to collect your hold or if you wish to cancel your hold, please contact your branch pick up location or use the Submit a Question option to the right of this page.
