Please visit the Access Services page for updated information while the library is closed to the public.

The Access Services branch removes barriers to library services for people with disabilities. Some of the many services offered include:

  • providing opportunities to learn about assistive technology and equipment.
  • providing books in alternative formats to people with vision impairments.
  • delivering books to readers who cannot visit a local library.

We welcome invitations to present informational programs and participate in community events. Please call 703-324-8380 or visit Access Services for more information.

Visit the Aging and Disability Guide in the library's Research Center for a full overview of our services.
